NBA Betting Guide 11/8/21

Breaking down the best plays for tonights 8 game NBA slate.

Nets @ Bulls -1.5 (216)

The Bulls and Nets have both been extremely entertaining teams to follow this year. The bulls have fizzled a little bit after losing back to back games to a solid Sixers team but have proven they will be in the hunt all year. Meanwhile, the Nets are starting to figure out life without Kyrie Irving. The Nets are on a 5 game win streak and playing great ball. One thing to note for tonights game is that the public is about 50/50 for tonight’s game, BUT the money is coming in heavy on the Nets. Take the Nets tonight. The money is backing them, they are playing great ball, and they have the greatest player in the world one their team. This is a smash spot for KD, who will guard him? Take KD O28.5 points as well.

Wolves @ Grizzlies -6 (217)

The Wolves were one of my dark horse teams to make the playoffs out of the west to start the season. They started the year playing very well and have hit a wall. D’Angelo Russel has been out with an ankle injury and is a GTD for tonights game. With or without the talented guard, I love the Grizzlies tonight. Ja Morant and company have improved year after year. The public is backing the Wolves, the money is on the Grizzlies. I figured this line would be around 3 points and Vegas put it at 6 (This makes me love them even more). Morant and the Grizzlies take care of business tonight at home. Take the Grizzlies.

Heat @ Nuggets +1.5 (204.5)

This is a sucker play, I am going to get out in front of it. But, even square plays sometimes win. The public love the heat tonight and so do I. This analysis is going to completely lean on my basketball knowledge (which is pretty good). The Heat come into tonights game as one of the best defensive teams in the NBA. This Nuggets team is still without stud guard Jamal Murray and also without MPJ and Monte Morris is a GTD. They lean on reigning MVP Nikola Jokic a lot already and will have to even more tonight. Sure, Jokic could make me look like an idiot and have one of those games where he is unstoppable.. but I don’t think so. The Heat are extremely physical and Bam is the perfect defender to contain Jokic. Take the Heat. This is going to be a war (hint the 204.5 total). There isn’t a team I would rather go into battle with than the Miami Heat.

Hawks @ Warriors -3.5 (222.5)

The Warriors hold the best record in the league and getting great contributions from a lot of role players and rising star Jordan Poole. The Hawks have had a little bit of a rough start and not played up to their expectations. Yet, the line is only 3.5. The Hawks have the fire power to compete with any team at any time.. and tonight is going to be one of those nights. The public loves the Warriors. I am seeing the Warriors getting 81% of the bets and the Hawks have 27% of the money. Not exactly “sharp” but I still think the Hawks stay within the number and might even get this outright. Take the Hawks.

Hornets @ Lakers -2 (226.5)

This is going to be a great game to watch as tonight’s slate comes to an end. I see 3 spots that I LOVE. The Hornets are a young and entertaining team that will produce highlight after highlight under the bright lights of Staples Center tonight. But, they won’t play a lick of defense. The struggling Lakers will look like title contenders after tonight. The Hornets have the worst defensive rating in the NBA and the Lakers get back on track tonight. Sharps love the Lakers and the Public loves the under. Take the Lakers. Take the Over. If AD plays, take the over for his points. AD is in a smash spot against this Hornets team that refuses to guard the paint.
