Warriors vs Lakers Betting Guide

The NBA tips off tonight and is capped off with a marquee matchup between two of the most storied franchises.

When it comes to handicapping this game, throw out all of the things we learned from last year. Both teams come into tonight with a clean slate. BUT, there are some things we can dig into.

First things first, the Lakers completely revamped their roster in every position. It is championship or bust for this team. With that being said, they have not played together much.. and honestly haven’t looked good in preseason. In recent years, the super teams take a little bit of time to fully hit their stride and there are a lot of unknowns surrounding this Lakers team.

Will Russ take a backseat to Lebron? How involved will Carmelo be? Do they have the ability to spread the floor? Are they too old? NOBODY KNOWS.

Of course the Lakers will eventually hit their stride and answer all of these questions and I do believe they end up hosting the trophy at the end of the year, but they will struggle tonight.

Meanwhile, the Warriors come into the season with far less questions. One question we do not have to answer is who their guy is, and he happens to be the greatest shooter to ever walk this planet. Stephen Curry, who just came off a 41 point eruption in only 30 minutes during the Warriors final preseason game looks ready to defend his scoring title. They also return the heart and soul of their team with Draymond Green and have plenty of complimentary pieces in Wiggins, Poole, Porter Jr., Wiseman, and Iguodola.

Though they are without future Hall of Fame guard Klay Thompson, I expect this Warriors team to win its fair share of games.

Starting tonight. Hit the Warriors spread and leave the points in the truck.

Warriors +3.5

Warriors ML +135

Stephen Curry Over 33.5 points

Jordan Poole Over 18.5 points

We have dominated the NBA in the past, expect that trend to continue
