Vegas Wins, Again. (Louisville vs Ole Miss)

Game Time – 7:00 CST

Tonight, the Louisville Cardinals travel to Atlanta Georgia to face the Ole Miss Rebels in a neutral site prime time showdown. Both teams can light up the scoreboard, and I wouldn’t expect anything less tonight.

Last year, Ole Miss had one of the worst defenses in the league. They were able to stay in games mainly due to Offensive play calling wizard Lane Kiffin and Heisman candidate Matt Corral and ended the year 5-5. The Rebels face some adversity tonight as Kiffin will not be on the sideline due to Covid restrictions. This could hurt the Rebels in a game that is expected to be a shootout with a 74.5 point total.

Louisville returns electric playmaker Malik Cunningham. Cunningham brings experience and poise for the Cardinals. Cunningham requires full attention as he can tuck it and make something out of nothing on any down. Turnovers were an issue for Cunningham last year. He will need to limit giving the ball up if Louisville wants to stay in this game.

There is some hype around the Rebels this year and public seems to buying in as 68% of the money is on the Rebels. Vegas has adjusted the line accordingly. Ole miss opened as 8 point favorites and has moved up a point and is currently sitting at 9. I’m not buying the hype. In a game without Ole Miss’s lead play caller, I expect Cunningham to make enough plays to hang around just enough and maybe even steal one outright late.

The play: Louisville +9
